10% Off For UU Readers Thursdays At International Cleaners

Mike Bleier, owner of International Cleaners at Lawrence and Kenmore has this great offer for Uptown Update readers and this info on his business:

"International Cleaners (at Lawrence and Kenmore) is celebrating its 20th year in business in Uptown, founded in 1989 by the Trevino family. I have been the owner since 2007, and have been a resident of Uptown since 2008. I started in the dry cleaning industry when I started my pickup and delivery dry cleaning service, Drive Cleaning, in 2004. Drive Cleaning offers free pickup and delivery service to all of Chicago and even goes out to the Northern suburbs.

International Cleaners prides itself on quality work and customer service. We are not the cheapest option out there, but for not much more than you would pay at another cleaner, we do outstanding work - we use computerized bar-codes to track pieces through our plant; we have a three point inspection system to ensure that stains are caught and cleaned correctly before ever going back to a customer; we touch up - by hand - every single shirt that comes through the plant; we replace shirt and blouse buttons automatically and for free; and we even offer an airline rewards program where every dollar you spend at our store will earn you additional miles on your airline rewards program."

Mike is now offering UU readers a 10% off discount when you drop off your dry cleaning on Thursdays and mention Uptown Update. Offer good through March 31, 2010.

  1. I took advantage of the "special" today - actually still pretty expensive compared to some of the other cleaning establishments in the 'hood. But the young lady at the counter (with gorgeous curly auburn hair) was very friendly and courteous.

P.S. Yes, they also do alterations and "press only" orders.
