Sweet News On Wilson


A reader writes in with this yummy news:
"It looks like a new cupcake shop is opening at 1319 W. Wilson where the chicken and rib place used to be.  Walking by today I noticed some signs up in the window and checked out their website (http://www.cupcake-gallery.com/).  The site has links to their Facebook page and blog site which confirm the location.  Looks like a great new addition to the neighborhood."

    Hmmm, daughter who loves Cupcakes, father who likes to support local businesses, short walk to "The Cupcake Gallery". Time to get some new pants!

    About time a useful business moves in our area. I am sure they will be well visited as I cannot every recall a real bakery calling its home here in Uptown.....

    Hooray! Business moving into Uptown. Lets just hope that gangbangers don't like cupcakes... unless the delicious cakey goodness can bring them together in loving harmony.

    Live across the street and happy to see this retail get a face lift as well as another place to eat in the immediate area. First Fontana Grill and now this. I wish them the best of luck. Express Chicken and Ribs shutdown after business declined and they got robbed last year.....it has been nothing but an eye soar since then. Keep the Lincoln Parkesque businesses coming.

    Isn't a cupcake shop a sure sign "Yuppies" are moving in? I know some readers are not liking condo owners living in the area. I say "Let them eat Cupcakes!"

    I say Let them Eat Cupcakes too! Dave...we make THE BEST Red Velvet Cupcakes...but I'll let you be the judge. We'll be giving them away free - so you'll have time to ummm, taste the milk before you buy the cow...LOL - NO Pun Intended!
