Vote For Uptown In "What Makes A Place Great"

What makes a place great? Is it the Gingko Organic Gardens? Montrose Harbor? Metropolitan Planning Council asked that question a few months ago, and over 50 public places, including the two Uptown sites mentioned above, made the final list of nominees.
Voting began this week to select the People’s Choice award winner in both the photo and video categories. Folks can vote online once a day, through September 14th, at PlacemakingChicago.com. There's also a Google map of all of the places that entered, to serve as a guide for voters and as a fun resource for people “stay-cationing” this year. So cast a daily vote for our public places, and show what makes Uptown one of Chicago's great places.

  1. This is Mandy with MPC. Thanks for encouraging people to vote! Just want to let you know that We originally planned to allow people to vote once per day, but unexpected technical difficulties won't allow this so we switched Monday to one vote for photo and one vote for video per computer. So be sure to spread the word and get your friends and neighbors to vote!
