Last Chances To Buy City Stickers Locally

Yesterday was the "official" day by which you have to display a city sticker on your Chicago-registered car, but all hardened Chicagoans know enforcement doesn't begin until July 15th. You can still hit a couple local aldermanic offices to buy your sticker before the ticketing begins:

* Thursday, July 9, 10am-5:30pm, 4237 N Lincoln

* Friday, July 10, 10am-5:30pm, 4544 N Broadway

  1. Get 'em fast. We were ticketed day one last year.

  2. Next year i'm buying mine online.

    The currency exchange at broadway and irving had a line to the door at about noon and again about 11 p.m. tuesday.

    i was driving around looking for one that did not have such a long line because a few week back when i went to ald. smith's office, they had seating for people outside on the sidewalk, as well as people waiting in the front part of her office to buy the stickers.

    there has to be a better way to do this. i bet daley hears cash registers ringing on the day that cops start writing tickets for sticker offenses.

  3. I have gotten mine online for years. Once you get them that way you even get a renewal link now. Couldn't be easier. It is 2009 after all.

  5. Its best to always buy on line then to pay the rip-off prices at the currency exchange charges. Its safe and even if your credit card information was stolen you would not be held to account for it....
