Uptown Officer on WBEZ Radio This Morning

Update: Check out the entire podcast from Eight Forty-Eight here.

Police Officer Michael Carroll, an Uptown resident and local CAPS Beat Facilitator, will be heard on WBEZ radio this morning in an essay about police killed while on duty:

I was approached to do an on-air essay for Chicago Public Radio's 848 morning show a few weeks back and I was finally able to record it yesterday. The essay has to do with police officers being killed in the line of duty. Listen Thursday, June 4, 2009, to NPR, 91.5 FM here in Chicago between 9:10am and 9:20am, for the on-air essay. For everyone who's out of town, just go to www.chicagopublicradio.org and click on the 848 show icon to get the mp3 or podcast. There's a chance that the essay may be picked up nationwide.... let's hope.

  1. Not an easy job and it's even harder when gang idiots randomly shoot into groups.

I'm sorry for the loss of the young officer. Twenty seven is too young to die.

  2. Too bad for the death of this young man. I give all my respect to this police office and others who have died in the line of duty.
The only think I like about the Middle Esat countries is how they deal with the criminals they catch. These punks here deserve no rights at all.......
