Another Uptown Afternoon

-“A male black carrying a walkman is exposing himself to people” at 4208 N. Broadway at 4:18 p.m. “He’s wearing a denim jacket with a red bulldog on it.” Then, "We’ve got someone matching that description at Broadway and Buena,” said a 4:20 p.m. call



-"A male is pulling down his pants at Broadway and Belle Plaine" at 4:25 p.m. “That’s not the same guy as before is it?” asked the dispatcher. “No, it’s not,” replied an officer.



-“An anonymous call. There are three adults drinking at the playlot,” at 4648 N. Malden, said a 4:07 p.m. police call.



-Six counterfeit checks were reported at the N. Broadway and W. Irving Park Road currency exchange at 3:45 p.m. 



-“There are a bunch of kids over here” causing a disturbance at W. Wilson Ave. spreading from N. Kenmore Ave. to N. Sheridan Road at 3:24 p.m. “It’s a big crowd.” Backup was sent with multiple cars. 



-“A person wanted” was walking at Broadway and Wilson at 3:34 p.m. “The male black” snatched a cell phone and was walking down the street, the caller said. An arrest was then called in at Broadway and Sunnyside at 3:36 p.m. “Can you tell the sergeant we are bringing one in from that,” said the officer.



-There was a traffic accident at 4651 N. Winthrop at 3:31 p.m.

  3. Barry, we don't "lock them up once and for all", at least not here in Crook County. We lock them up and then the judge let's them go. For a better explanation of how it works, contact the family of Alex Valadez.They can explain it better than I.
