Uptown Through The Ages

If you are Uptown history geeks like us, you will spend hours on our new favorite website, "Historic Aerials."
This view on the left shows how the area around the Wilson red line station has changed since 1962. Notice all of the buildings (including the DeLuxe Theater) south of Wilson that were demolished to make way for Truman College. Check out www.historicaerials.com and then enter an address or intersection. Once that loads, click the various dates shown on the right to see how the area has changed over the years. It is truly fascinating.

  4. It brings a tear to my eye to remeber what it once was and now where it is. The good old days are gone but its memory remains always in our heart............
