If you want to contact the panel who heard the requests for money at the Wednesday meeting and make a case for the Wilson Red Line station (or any other pet project), please write to JobsAndRoadsForIllinois@gmail.com. Ask questions, name names, send photos. Just be sure your voice is heard.
It'll take a couple minutes, and it's another example of Uptown People Power. One of our public servants voluntarily surrendered her right to speak on behalf of the neighborhood at the meeting. Time to be the squeaky wheels, folks!
Done and done. I addressed the safety needed at Wilson and disabled-access needed at both Wilson and Lawrence.
ReplyDeleteDone. I also addressed Argyle Station's crazy flooding during even moderate rains.
ReplyDeleteDone, and I feel better for doing it! Also nice to throw my Alderman under the bus one more time!
ReplyDeleteVOTE SHILLER OUT OF OFFICE!!!
ReplyDeleteEnforcer, that's the general idea.
ReplyDeleteBut that's not until February 2011. In the meantime, we'll have to use means, like writing letters to try to get Capital Funds for our neighborhood, because we have no idea what our representative said or if she even requested any money. She wouldn't say when given the chance.
I cannot wait for the day when we finally get SHILLER out of our uptown and have someone who will give us a safe and healthy uptown................
