If you weren't able to make the "Evening with the Attorneys" event that was held at the Annoyance Theater on January 19, check out the video above for more information.
If my memory is correct tomorrow, March 3, is the day the "subpoena" issue gets decided by 'da judge'.
I just want to express my love, devotion, and admiration for Helen Shiller and Peter Holsten before the decision may be made.
I think giving tens of millions of dollars in taxpayers dollars to one of the cities more prolific campaign contributors, Peter Holsten, to develop one of the few significant vacant parcels on the north side was pure genius. It's obvious that without TIF funding no one would be able to develop such a parcel right next to the Red Line.
I mean think of it. Tens of thousands of commuters traveling by every single day. Tens of thousands of people within walking distance. How could a commercial partial such as that be developed without TIF money?
