Acrobatic Vandals

We spotted this gang graffiti above the former Mary's Flowers at 4755 N. Clark. The vandals obviously hung out the window of this apartment and did the graffiti upside down. We encourage our readers to call 311 about this and remember to mention that it is under the second floor window.

  1. So...shouldn't those living in the apartment be held responsible?

  2. I love that the taggers/vandals refer to the "busybodies at Uptown Update" who get graffiti eradicated. Let's see how quickly we can collectively make this one disappear.

  3. This is not your typical art graffiti that we have been seeing over the winter. This is Latin Kings tagging. Notice on the left they attempted a LK, on the left an upside down pitchfork which is meant as disrespect to rival gangs. I was not able to figure out the rest I tried googling gang tags and could not figure out what gang they were sending the signal to that this was now there corner. I did however stumble upon the fact that the first week of March is a holiday in the Latin King Nation known as Kings week. It is apparently one of their most important times of the year. So if you run into any make sure to wish them a Merry Kings week.
