From the folks at "CircEsteem"The 3rd National Gym Wheel Competition took place this past Saturday at Alternatives Inc. 4730 N. Sheridan Rd. and was hosted by CircEsteem, the Chicago Youth Circus. Participants in this competition will go on in May to compete in the World Championship of Gym Wheel gymnastics in Baar, Switzerland.
1st place All Around Senior Male winner went Uptown resident Cornell Freeney (shown here on the left), who placed 7th overall at 2007's World Championship in Salzburg, Austria.
1st place Junior Girls went to 13 year old Rogers Park resident Edith Keme originally from Togo, Africa.
Team USA's coach, Wolfgang Bientzle, 8-time World Champion and former Cirque du Soleil performer, is proud to call CircEsteem and Uptown his home.
