Foreclosure Forum On Saturday

From the Sun-Times:

Options to help homeowners and renters save their homes will be discussed at the North Side Foreclosure Education Forum on Saturday at Truman College in Uptown. Information on foreclosure scams, real estates taxes, homeowners' legal rights, and how the United States got into the foreclosure crisis will be presented, too.

The forum is open to all community members, homeowners and renters who are concerned about foreclosures in their neighborhoods. For the event, the Interfaith Housing Center, a HUD-certified agency, is collaborating with Northwest Side Housing Center, Rogers Park Community Development Corp., North Side Credit Union and Lakeside Community Development Corp.

The forum will be at 9:30 a.m. at Truman College, 1145 W. Wilson. To register, call (773) 769-5800 ext. 228. Three more foreclosure forums have been scheduled: •Feb. 28 at Wright College, 4300 N. Narragansett, (773) 836-1179. •March 21 at Indo American Center, 6328 N. California, (773) 262-2290 ext. 12. •April 4 at Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center, 1655 Foster Street in Evanston, (847) 501-5760 ext. 404.
