Scary Scarecrow

News-Star sincerely apologizes to our neighbor for throwing a scarecrow over her fence on Halloween night. We're sorry that you didn't notice it laying in your back yard until Monday, when you took your garbage out. We're also sorry that you thought it was a dead body and almost wet your pants. (Didn't you notice the straw coming out of its legs and arms?) And no, News-Star did not steal the scarecrow from the Buena Park Pumpkin Fest.
