There is no fee to attend and you only need to RSVP if you plan to meet us at The Spot before the event. All profits earned hosting the event will go to Uptown's Apna Ghar, a domestic violence shelter and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a breast cancer charity. Fundraisers will include selling show posters, Faster Pussycat posters, personal donated Tura items and 20% of the money made through sales of the art. At least 20 artists will be represented and the best part? Tura Satana will be there in person! Visit http://www.myspace.com/tattoofactorygallery for more information.

  1. That movie is funny........in a very dark demented sick twisted non-comma fashion.

  2. We should all go and let the Tattoo Factory and Paul know how happy we are that he contributes to Helen Shiller. Lets support the place that gives us the great leader that we have here in Uptown.

    You stay classy Tattoo Factory!

  3. Do you suppose our TIF Tax dollars are paying for her visit?

  4. Wait, Paul supports Helen?

Paul was at the big public safety meeting airing his complaints as a merchant about the crime and public display factors that discourage sidewalk traffic.

  5. Considering where Paul's place was prior to it's current location, I can't imagine that he had much option in having to feed the pig.

  6. He may have fed the pig (fattened the sow up) but he's feasted off the litter. As I recall he got something in excess of $250K to move across the street.

  7. I don't know whether Paulie baby supports Shiller because he actually likes her or feels it is the expedient thing to do.

I could venture a guess though.

I do know that his current location used to be a hardware store that closed around 93-94 or so. It had been there for more than 40 years. The long time owners donated to Shiller and hated her guts. They felt they had to.

It's easy to criticize a business owner, but until you walk a mile in his tattooed moccasins I suggest thinking about the totality of his situation.
