Laws Are For Prison, Not For Uptown

A reader writes in with the following info and comment:

Oh look! The Uptown Peoples Law Center thinks that PRISONS Should Be Places Of Law and that All Too Often They Fall Short.

Have their staff ever noticed the Uptown neighborhood in which they provide pro bono services and the criminal clients they represent? Why don’t they, including their own employee---Mark Kaplan of COURAJ fame--- believe that Uptown should be a place where laws should be followed ?

Do you think that charitable organizations outside this neighborhood really understand what they are funding?
