National Car Wash has updated its sign to a digital light display, rather than the big plastic numbers, to keep up with the ever-changing gas prices. Here's how it looked just a few months ago.
A hell of an example that one day all humans will become obsolete and our cybernetic grandchildren will rule the universe through robotic assimilation.
Thanks a lot Philip K Dick.
P.S. When are humans/computers going to invent Holodecks? I would like one.
As long as people live vicariously though the type of car they drive ("My Car, Myself"), they will need them kept shiny and clean.
So despite the digital intrusions, humans will continue to rule the universe, at least when it comes to washing cars. Plus, this business is a godsend for many day laborers who need to earn quick cash in an honest fashion.
