We just heard about a spa that recently opened in Uptown. It's called "Le Petite Spa" and is located at 4058 N. Sheridan, just a block north of the Sheridan El stop. Check it out if you are in need of some pampering or know someone who is.

So, I just wanted to let you all know that I went to Le Petit Spa after seeing it mentioned on the UU and had a wonderful experience! I went specifically for the No-Chip Manicure, which is a type of gel polish that does exactly as the name implies: you get a very natural-looking manicure that lasts literally 2-3 weeks. It is a little more expensive than a regular manicure, but for us ladies who are into this kind of thing, it's the greatest thing ever! It is only now gaining popularity in the US but it'll be here. Le Petit Spa is one of the few places in Chicago that offers this service. I have been to one of the other places but it was MUCH more expensive. Vernadine is the nail tech who does this and she is really skilled and down-to-earth. While I was there, I also got the chance to meet some of the other employees. They were so welcoming and cool, I felt right at home. We did a lot of laughing and opining about this, that and the other thing.
Le Petit Spa may not be super fancy-looking but their services are up-to-date and comparable to any of those you would find at a downtown salon but for more affordable prices. This place is a real gem in this neighboohood. It's the kind of place that makes you want to be a regular.
