  1. Where is that license from? It doesn't look like any Il license I have seen, new or old. I miss my old laminated license, even if it did have a couple staple holes at the top.

  2. I just got my first IL DL. Does anyone know if IL lets you renew online when it expires?

  3. Ok, just looked on the DMV website. This is our new design? It is ugly! Did someone actually get paid to design that? I understand that they need anti-counterfeit measures, but those wavy lines are hideous.

I will have to drive extra safe now so I that I can just keep getting renewal stickers and not get one of these ID's

If you are over 21 and have a clean driving record, there is a way to get them to mail you a renewal sticker that extends your expiration date by 4 years. It is a shiny holographic sticker that goes on the back of your ID. You can get this online when you get a renewal notice in the mail

  5. Nothing clever is correct on the renewal sticker. Only offered if you have a 4 year clean driving record.

Since most of my travel is done by Yak I always get the renewal sticker.

  6. Now sec. of state workers can get their bribes and deposit the cash in the same place. How convenient.

  8. This is a nice community service idea. The lines at the driver's license facilities can be outrageous.

  9. I wish they could have scheduled this event later in the day. I work 9 to 5 and won't be able to take advantage of this event. Boo! Now I'll have to stand in line at the DMV.
