In Case You Missed It...

Seen today at the site of the old KFC near Broadway and Buena. A 24 unit residential condominium plus retail is planned for this spot.

  1. I guess I am just naive about all of this. How/why is Shiller supporting more condos in the middle of her ward but sticking the 48th ward with the day labor company? What does this woman stand for? Why is she for development in her ward but against it in someone else's? What is going on?

  2. If they keep building condos over retail with just enough parking for the condos where are all the retail customers going to park?

I don't think its realistic to believe that everyone intends to take public transporation to get to every retail business in the 46th Ward. Only certain types of businesses are feasible with a bus commuter customer base.

Well, with the Wilson El stop being such a model of cleanliness and safety people will flock ...

  4. Im wondering how 24 condos + 24 parking spaces for each condo + retail are going to fit in that small location. How tall is this new building going to be?

  5. Who cares just build it! None of you are going to live there. I really think that this parcel should be the location of the Chicago Spire....I guess we will have to call this one the Uptown Spire, even if its only four stories!
