"Monticchio," which we assume is an italian restaraunt judging from the "coming soon" sign, will be filling one of the 2 storefronts in this development at 4880 N. Clark. Rumors are circulating of a tea shop, possibly Argo, filling the other spot. We will keep you posted.

'Monticchio' Coming Soon On Clark
If you live near the 4800 block of north Clark and are looking for a new option when you are craving pizza, you'll soon have your wish. "Monticchio," which we assume is an italian restaraunt judging from the "coming soon" sign, will be filling one of the 2 storefronts in this development at 4880 N. Clark. I actually heard there may be a bar going in that space. Either a sports bar or some type of neighborhood tavern. It will be nice to have a place to go without having to go to Wrigleyville.
ReplyDeleteMonticchio will be a pizza restaurant serving Italian style individual pizzas, larger family style thin crust pizzas some great appetizers and desserts. The environment will casual and comfortable with a mix of rustic Tuscan and contemporary, and carry out and delivery will be available. We anticipate opening in late February. By the way, the name "Monticchio" is from a volcanic crater lake resort area in the Basilicata region of Italy. We hope to see all of our friends and neighbors there. ReplyDeleteI don't believe that there is a firm tenant for the other space yet.
My business partner and I are working presently with the developer on using the south space to open up a tavern. We are currently negotiating our lease and hope to open in May/June 2008. It will be a neighborhood style tavern with an emphasis on sports programming and creating a relaxing, enjoyable environment. Once the negotiations proceed further, we will provide further info. BTW, I check this site every day and you do a great job updating.
