Thanks for this information - I recognize one of the "ladies of the night" from walking in the hood - I can't believe that someone would risk their life for something so pitiful - but this just goes to prove there is a lid for every pot - congratulation 23rd on getting these people off the street - do you think you can get tom tunney off the street also?
It only takes 3 prostitution arrests in Chicago to get jail time. That is, if the 23rd police and state's attorney want to pursue it. But, here in Uptown they don't. That is why our prostitutes are back on the street the next morning each and every time. We have one hooker with over 300 citations.
Good ol'Louise is well known in my lakefront highrise too. And, she ain't delivering pizza's.
These "ladies of the night" are being arrested for "soliciting a ride", not actually prostitution. Technically, when all they are doing is flagging down cars, they are charged with a misdemeanor. It's much more difficult to charge them with actual prostitution. When they do actually rack up three charges of prostitution, the State's Atty's office can upgrade to a felony.
funny the police in the 23rd have time to return drivers licenses to the tom tunney but don't have time to arrest ho's
But doesn't the fact that prostitutes like Ava Lindsey, et al, show up multiple times, and multiple months, in "Notable Arrests" prove that the 23rd District cops do take the problem seriously?
Don't you love it when the residents of the Wilson Men's Hotel move into Clarendon Park for the Summer? And if they happen to have a history of raping 8 years olds, well hey, "So What?" it saves them drinking money. It's the Uptown way.

That last comment was about Howard Moser, our longtime Wilson Avenue renter who was arrested at 7XX W Montrose for not registering his new homeless address. (that's the park folks)
Query why the police did not charge him with the more serious offense of being a child sex predator (rapist) illegally present in a park. Guess, they were using the thing they call police discretion again. I just can't find that "police discretion" oridnance anywhere in the law. It must be in that special edition of the Uptown version of the Chicago Municipal Code.
Jackson Wilbur was on September's "People You Should Know" list too. Guy's prolific!
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I live two blocks from this guy and am disgusted.
Ava Lindsey too! These two should get together!
ReplyDeleteYou should change the title to "This Month's Shiller Voter Showcase"
ReplyDeleteI don't care what anyone says, that prostitute is f'ing hot!

ReplyDeleteLouise Neal was just making a racket with some other folk outside my window about five minutes ago yelling about something or another.
