Walking past our shiny new Aldi today on Broadway we noticed that the flower garden had sprouted some interesting shiny cans, the beer kind. We have seen folks sitting on the fence around this garden in the past cracking open cold ones and have called 911, but looks like Aldi is still the preferred spot for public drinking at the moment. Further down Broadway in front of the Azusa building that is currently NOT being dismantled as Peter Holsten claimed it would be back in June, we spotted a wine bottle that had been tossed near one of the neglected trees that make up our Broadway "streetscape." Maybe since our ward is on a recycling kick we could place recycling bins up and down Broadway and Wilson for our residents to deposit their wine and beer cans after they finish their public drinking. Just a thought.
