That parking lot has not changed since the Wilson Yard construction 'start' a few weeks ago. I bet a vacant shopping cart and two floating plastic bags that it will stay like this for several months.
I'll see your vacant shopping car and two floating plastic bags and raise you one five drunks hanging out in front of the U Haul and two guys shitting on the El platform that it will be longer than that.
Actually, Shiller did suggest putting porta potties in the park so that the homeless sleeping there would have more privacy when they relieved themselves while camping out in the park. I guess park curfew be damned. Anyway, the Park District refused her request.
I wouldn't mind riding my motorcycle over those slaps.

ReplyDeleteI take the el occasionally from the wilson stop, and have to ask - do homeless people really shit on the platform?!?
ReplyDeleteExcuse me while I go throw up.
My brother, Yellowbeard, witnessed that very event at that very location.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly happens in the alleys......I have the joy of taking a shovel to some of it once in awhile.
