We noticed a "Public Notice" sign on this building near Wilson and Sheridan (across from Joan Arai School) announcing the upcoming Jesus People USA school. It appears it will be taking up the ground floor of this building.
Will they be having classes in beard trimming and passive aggressive gay bashing. "Jesus teaches us to love you. But we hate the fact that you are gay. Praise the Lord and don't pass the KY."
Now I was edumacated in da Chicago Catholic school system. To the Bishop's chagrin a good Catholic education teaches one to think. They don't necessarily like that. At least when you disagree with Holy Mother the Church.
Oh well good luck Jesus People. May you raise a hole(and I do mean "hole") generation of little left wing Christian activists to go out and pretend to love everyone.
I wonder if they'll display Helen Shiller campaign posters at the school as well as at the wonderfully misnamed Friendly Towers. Because, you know, you just can't have enough violations of the IRS Code.
Over 100 organizations have had their 501(c) status revoked since the 2006 elections for violating the requirement that tax-exempt organizations must remain neutral.
That is up for debate but no more mention of the "c-word" or you-know-who will be paying us a visit. You can "google" their organization for more info.
I just looked at their site and yes they are a cult. I don't know why Congress doesn't do away with tax exempt status period for all orgs. They should have to at least pay a little tax.
They have school already it is just someplace else. It is nothing new, its the school for the kids. They have always had the school. I live at JPUSA (20 yrs left for 3 and came back) and have friends that are gay. If you do not agree with the lifestyle that does not mean you hate gays. There are people that are gay that visit here often and say hi.They do not hate us and we do not hate them. Marty

Lots of eyes on you, JPUSA.
Caring Neighbor-
ReplyDeleteCheck out the second floor of the building (click the pic to enlarge). There are Shiller campaign signs that date back quite a while.
I enjoyed today's postings. Now that's a neighborhood full circle project.
ReplyDeleteWhat is Jesue People USA? A cult? I moved here last year and again it's something I missed. Just the name sounds crazy!

ReplyDeleteThey should buy the Blight King spot and clean it up. They could open Jesus Burger's USA. Our burgers are just how Jesus liked them!

ReplyDeleteOh and yes we pay taxes. I pay taxes every year. If you want to know about JPUSA talk to someone who lives there instead of making stuff up. Marty
