  1. Do they own the property already?

    1. Yes. According to the application to the city, the company applying for the zoning change is the same company that owns the property.

  2. Excellent and really great! I can't wait to be a "sidewalk superintendent" as they build this thing.

Now, how's progress with permits for that other, Cedar Street building around the corner on Wilson? And, why or why, does not some developer want to put a TOD on the site of that truly dreadful strip mall on the SE corner?

    1. Dude! If this project gets going soon, there will be construction at Stewart School, the Wilson L, and 4601 Broadway all at the same time! Let's not throw any more projects at the same corner into the mix quite yet!

  3. I think of the entire eastern portion of that intersection as a giant, stinking sinkhole, so the more activity to get things right the better, IMHO.

    1. It is, but that should slowly change. The city will have to protect the value of the buildings given how much money developers are dumping into the most undesirable part of Uptown.

These developers either weren't aware that this is a dividing line for gang territories or they are getting crazy incentives.
