The Evolution of Gigio's Continues

A patron enjoys lunch in the spruced up interior of Gigio's, 4643 N. Broadway
You almost have to see it to believe it.

We've been tracking the progress of Gigio's Pizza in the 4600 block of Broadway for a while now. The exterior was recently upgraded, complete with tile and new windows replacing the yellow awning and painted windows we all knew for years. The result is a much more welcoming storefront, where you can now sit at stools and watch the world go by through new windows.

The interior was upgraded in phases and it has now entered the final phase. Gone is '70s-era tile that covered the walls from floor to ceiling. New wood grain tile runs vertically to the ceiling with varied shapes inlaid in wood, as you can see from the photo above. The bathrooms are also in the process of being upgraded.

Nothing about the food or great employees has changed, though. It's definitely worth a stop if you are craving a big slice of pizza.

  1. I tried their hamburger & sausage pizza recently, it wasn't half bad.

  2. Their crust has changed; it is not as good as before - not bad, but definitely not as good.
