Have You Seen This Man?

Last Friday, in Edgewater, a man struck, robbed and attempted to sexually assault a female in an alley.  His image was caught by a security camera.  While this didn't happen in Uptown, it's possible someone here might recognize him.

The police have released the photo and this statement:

About This Crime:
On Friday, October 26, 2012, at 5:40am a female was walking in the alley in the 5600 block of N. Kenmore Ave when an unknown male black approached her and struck her numerous times in the head. The offender removed property from the female and then attempted to sexually assault her.

About The Offender:

• Male black between the ages of 18-25.
• 6'00"; 175lbs; Dark Complexion
• Last seen wearing a white jacket with a red stripe on each shoulder.

What You Can Do:

• If possible do not walk alone and stay in well lit areas.
• Be aware of this situation and alert neighbors in the area about the crime.
• Call 911 to report any suspicious person(s), vehicle(s), or activities in your neighborhood.
