Show Uptown Lounge Some Love!

Just like the businesses on Argyle suffered slow sales during the closure and rebuilding of the Argyle Red Line station (and going back a bit, the Wilson Avenue businesses fought to hang on during the construction of the Truman parking garage because there was little to no parking for their patrons), the Uptown Lounge is being negatively affected by the Lawrence Red Line reconstruction.

Business Partners - the Chamber for Uptown says:
"One of our merchants and longstanding Uptown bars is in need of some local support during the construction of the Lawrence CTA Station construction.  Since the station's closing, Uptown Lounge, located at 1136 West Lawrence, has seen a significant drop in customers stopping in for a cold beer or other libation after work and during the weekend.  Uptown Lounge wants its Uptown regulars to know that they are still open during construction and are offering drink specials to entice you to walk a few extra steps to get to your favorite neighborhood hangout.  Hours are Monday - Friday 4pm to 4am and on Saturdays they are open till 5am (just in time for brunch in Uptown!)."
The construction goes on until November 30th, and that's a long time for a small business to go without a majority of its customers.  Please consider stopping by and taking advantage of the drink specials.  Good way to warm up on a chilly November evening!

  1. I thought the City/CTA compensated businesses for disruption? No? Then businesses should be compensated.
