Props to the Uptown Chicago History blog for coming across this photo for sale on eBay showing the SW corner of Wilson & Racine in 1955. Everything in this photo was demolished to make way for Truman College. Check out the current view (minus the construction) below.
Thanks UU, for continuing to post pictures from Uptown's past. I'm always fascinated by the businesses, buildings, and streetscapes that have morphed or vanished completely over the years.
