Incoming!

A reader writes: "Imagine our surprise late this morning (when readying for Mother's Day celebrations) hearing military helicopters of various sizes and formations flying back and forth across the land and lake. Anyone know what's up with that!?"

I seems to be a common occurance, I live high in the sky and see them flying north fairly regularly. I thought they were maybe going to that base thats up north or something.

Oh my god! Black Helecopters. I knew once that commie pinko Obama was elected, we'd have to deal with the dreaded black helecopters.

I just hope my stash of dried food and candles lasts the next three and a half years.

As I sit here at my own personal booth at the diner of diminished Uptown expectations, I realize that those choppers represent the hopes many of us had for a vibrant mixed use shopping district at Wilson Yard.

Off in the distance......loud......flying away......growing more distan.......t

By the way Army National Guard helicopters out of a unit at Midway do on occasion fly up and down the lakefront.

After seeing the "60 Minutes" piece, Sunday, on the highly successful 'Predator' drones in Iraq.....
I have to wonder how well these un-manned aircraft would benefit Uptown.
