Uplift Gets Greener

We told you about the TIF funded renovation at Uptown's Uplift High School back in May, and now we can see the results:

Certainly greener and nicer than the old concrete slab in front! Money well spent, in our opinion.

  1. I'm curious, how many students attend that school?

    2. I'm surprised there are so few kids at such a big school

    3. Wow, that's it? I would've thought there would be much more than that given how large the campus is. Thanks for the info.

    4. Ahh, 250 maybe with all the staff included, more like 100 and change. For a school designed to hold over 400 students. Yet another failed leftist project by Helen and her new protege, AC. See here : https://www.chicagotribune.com/2022/11/07/uplift-high-school-has-only-about-100-students-can-the-community-and-cps-save-it-from-being-a-failed-experiment/

  2. It's very nice, but they locked all the gates on the north and east sides, so you can only enter at the south and can't walk through to the other side to get to Eastwood. Now pedestrians have to use that janky alley with uneven concrete.

    1. That is a question of long division. Did you attend school? I am confident you can answer this for yourself, if you apply yourself.

  4. Last I heard it's about 120 students. And extra staff just added.
