I wrote our aldermen and mayor about the car jackings with suggestions. I don't own a car, so I'm not vulnerable. However, just like we have freeway signs for Amber alert, we should have freeway signs warning motorists of "Carjacking alerts". We have speed signs on street corners, there should be signs pinpointing high car jackings. Just like the City sends me messages about Lakefront levels and snow storms, they should send out messages about car jackings. And can somebody tell me what's with the Lyft drivers being jacked? New car? Open doors? The taxis aren't being carjacked and that's because they have signage all over their cars. Maybe the Uber drivers should put detailing and lettering on their cars?
