Independence Day Closures (Get Your City Trash Bins Out Early!)

The federal holiday observing Independence Day this year falls on Friday, July 3rd.

Don't expect any regular government offices to be open (federal, state, county, city).

Most banks will be open on the 3rd, but will be closed on Saturday, July 4th.

If you have city trash pickup, and your usual pickup day is Friday, you'll want to be prepared. Garbage Day will be on Thursday this week, so get your carts out a day early.

Navy Pier has cancelled its fireworks until further notice, and the Saddle & Cycle Club has as well.
