Andersonville's Midsommarfest, originally scheduled for June 12-14, has been moved to August in hopes that it will be safe to congregate in crowds by then.

The new dates set are August 21-23.  The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with event production company Star Events, will continue to closely monitor mandates and recommendations from the CDC, the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois and other government sources in regards to large gatherings.

According to a statement, "Festival co-chairs Karin Moen Abercrombie (Swedish American Museum) and Mark Liberson (Replay + Elixir) share, 'When the time is ready, we look forward to bringing you this wonderful festival - and until then, please support Andersonville businesses online and at a safe distance.'"

Vendor applications are open through July 3rd (apply here).  The Midsommarfest website is here; the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce will provide updates as they become available.
