If you were around when MTV was don't-miss-TV and New Wave ruled, you'll remember The Motels, with hits like Only The Lonely and Suddenly Last Summer. Now you can see them right here at home, as they will be playing RibFest on Friday, with a set starting at 8pm.
Friday's main stage musical entertainment:
- 2:30 - R-GANG, Chicago's #1 R&B Dance Band
- 4:15 - TO THE NINES, who's slogan is "Keep You Dancing"
- 6:15 - BREAKFAST CLUB, the '80s cover band
- 8:30 - MARTHA DAVIS AND THE MOTELS
As always, Windy City RibFest takes place noon to 10pm on Broadway between Leland and Lawrence.
Admission is a suggested donation of $5, part of which goes to help Business Partners - The Chamber for Uptown continue their programming and promotions in our community.
There will be ribbers from all over the country competing and cooking up a storm! Compare and vote for your favorite. There will also be lots of other food vendors to choose from if ribs aren't your thing.
