Recycling Your Fresh-Cut Tree Starting Saturday; Free Mulch Available Beginning Monday

If you'd like to recycle your live Christmas tree, and get some free mulch in the deal, this is for you.

The City will be accepting trees (no wreathes or garland) at 25 parks across the city between Saturday, January 5th and January 19th.

The Uptown location is Margate Park (4921 North Marine Drive), where there will be a corral by the fieldhouse. Mulch is available beginning January 7th.

Not surprisingly, you need to remove the tinsel (does anyone still use tinsel?) and lights prior to recycling.
