Wilson Avenue's repaving project is steadily moving westward. The installation of new corner curbs and milling of the pavement have reached the Sheridan/Broadway stretch.
The entire project, which is due to be completed by December 15th, will improve Wilson Avenue between Lake Shore Drive and Damen.
According to Ald. Pawar's newsletter, "Work includes ADA sidewalk improvements, curb and gutter removal and replacement, bus pad construction, pavement patching, milling and paving the existing asphalt pavement, and striping."
I've noticed red markings on the first layer of new asphalt between 1100 - 1300 Wilson. Will this be a typical paving project that lasts one week before ComEd/People's Gas/CDOT comes through and jackhammers away at the newly paved road?
