Talk with the police commander! Walk with the Alderman!

Readers often contact us about feeling unsafe or seeing illegal activity occurring in the Argyle business district, particularly in the evenings. Several have begun avoiding Argyle altogether.

Here is a chance to talk with 20th Police District Commander Sean Loughran and 48th Ward Alderman Harry Osterman about what you see going on.

From Ald. Osterman's office:

"We will be doing a Safety Walk, as part of our Safe Summer Nights, with the Commander tomorrow, Wednesday 7/11, at 5pm. The walk will start on the corner of Argyle and Winthrop and we will walk down Winthrop, Kenmore, and end at Buttercup Park (Sheridan and Argyle). After the walk, we will kick off the first night of CAPS Night Out at Buttercup Park."

If you feel unsafein the Argyle area, or if you have an issue you want to bring up about what is going on there, this is your chance, and these are the people who can make change happen.
