Eat At Sun Wah Tonight To Support Goudy School

Join me on Monday, May 14th from 6 pm to 9 pm for Sun Wah BBQ restaurant's Goudy school fundraiser. All of the proceeds from your meal will go towards the after school programming at Goudy Technology Academy.

Goudy Technology Academy, in collaboration with students, parents, and community members, embraces a culturally diverse, technologically advanced, and respectful learning environment. Goudy is an outstanding school in our community, led by Principal Pamela Brandt and a dedicated teaching staff. This fundraiser will raise needed funds to support critical after school programs for the students.

Sun Wah BBQ restaurant, located at 5039 N Broadway, this week won the distinguished James Beard Award, which is presented for excellence in cuisine, culinary writing, and culinary education. It is the only restaurant in the city of Chicago to have been presented the award this year. The restaurant, which started on Argyle in 1986 by Eric Cheng, is now led by his children Michael, Laura, and Kelly Cheng.

I would like to congratulate the Cheng family on receiving the James Beard Award and for all they do for our community.
