What A Difference A Year Makes

Google Streetview, August 2016

The new mid-rise a block south of Uptown, at Broadway and West Sheridan, is really taking shape. The exterior of the "Viridian on Sheridan" looks to be nearly complete, with windows in the brick (northern) portion still to be added.

It will hold 100 apartments (one-, two- and three-bedrooms), and expects to start renting later this year. There will also be ground-floor retail.

Quite a difference from the parking lot and gas station that were there for decades before.

  1. If like me, you momentarily panicked, and thought, "What happened to the eagles on the facade? Where's my brand new food hall?" - fret not, that's the development south of this one, and it's not as far along but also expected in 2018.
