The City of Chicago's 2018 Homeless Count will take place on Thursday, January 25th. The Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) asks your help with informing Chicagoans about the citywide 2018 Count and to recruit volunteers for the night of the Count.
Full information about the Count and how to volunteer is available at:

Chicago’s Homeless Count is a point-in-time tally and survey of individuals in shelters and on the street conducted by trained volunteers. Information gathered from the Count is used for service and resource planning, advocating for continued federal funding for the City's programs to prevent and reduce homelessness, and raising public awareness about homelessness in Chicago.
For 2018, our goal is to recruit and train more than 300 volunteers to work in teams of three or four, counting individuals in shelters and on the street. Other City departments and partner agencies will also assist by counting the homeless on CTA buses and trains, in parks and at other key locations.
