The 20th District police (their district includes all of Uptown north of Lawrence) tweeted this a few days ago. Use caution and common sense.

So all of our auto thefts in the district last weekend were the result of people leaving their keys in the ignition of their cars while it warmed up... Worth it? Please consider the opportunities you create for the bad guy."
