Thanks to Generous Community Members, Winter Gear Is Being Delivered To 46th Ward Schools This Week

From Friends of the 46th Ward Schools:

"You are all amazing.

 Dearest Supporters,

This week, our volunteers are delivering bags and bags of coats, hats, mittens, and gloves to our six schools in the 46th Ward. We couldn't be more thrilled to make these deliveries! Each school will receive a supply of winter gear for our 46th Ward students. Doesn't that feel wonderful?

We also received many cash donations so each school is also receiving a Target gift card to assist with holiday celebrations or other school needs. We can tell you that the schools very much appreciate this support from our community.

Thank you all for your generosity and for helping us with another successful drive. It's such a wonderful way to lead into winter break.

A special thank you to 46th Ward Alderman James Cappleman and his staff for helping collect donations of winter gear and for publicizing the drive.

And thank you to all of our kind supporters and volunteers. Without you, we couldn't make this happen.

Warmest wishes for the holidays and the new year. Our next effort will be our 100th Day of School Re-Supply Drive mid-winter, for which we will collect donations of the top ten school supplies that need replenishing mid-way through the school year. We will announce details sometime in January.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!"
