Gerber Building Gets Refaced

The western face of the Gerber Building from Wilson Avenue

Several readers wondered what the plans were for the western face of the Gerber Building, as well as the facade along Wilson where the new station entrance just opened. The newly constructed cinder block walls are being faced in tiles that will be painted to match the facade of the historic Gerber Building. Terracotta restoration is also beginning along the Broadway side of the building. The changes are really amazing to see!
