A sign on the door of Siam Noodle & Rice says that the much-loved restaurant will be leaving Truman Square and moving to Buena Park. The building that it's located in, 4654 North Sheridan (at Leland), is under contract by Sarah's Circle. The social service plans to demolish it and build a new shelter there if it can obtain funding.
Siam Noodle is a family-owned business that opened in 1987. While we are sad that the family that runs it is losing their long-time home, we are happy they will remain in Uptown. And thankfully all of Uptown is in their delivery area!
The address they give as their new location, 4142 North Broadway, is currently the home of Thai Aroma, in the strip mall near 7/11. Wonder what the story is there?

We welcome Siam Noodle in Buena Park, but at the expense of Thai Aroma who's lease is not being renewed at Siam's new location after 18 years. We appreciated Thai Aroma as a pioneer here and enjoyed their food for many years - now we get to try Siam.
