New Wilson Station Entrance Taking Shape

The future entrance to the Wilson Station on the south side of Wilson
Work is progressing nicely at our Wilson station.

The upcoming main entrance to the station on the south side of Wilson is being enclosed with glass panels as we speak. It looks sleek and modern and is definitely a far cry from the turnstiles that greeted passengers there for years. The inside of the station has new subway tile (fitting, right?) with red and purple accents to denote the red and purple lines that will serve the station as well as durable granite flooring. Across the street on the north side of Wilson, the station is receiving the same subway tile and flooring treatment. The Gerber Building has all new steel framework as well as new ceiling girders installed. We are entering the homestretch and can't wait to see the arched clock and restored terracotta make a triumphant return.
