Crew Bar + Grill Seeks New Home

Crew Bar + Grill will be moving from its longtime home at 4804 North Broadway, and is looking for a new location. Can you help them out?

On its Facebook page today, Crew posted:

"After 13 years at Broadway & Lawrence, Crew Bar + Grill will be closing in Uptown on July 15, 2017 and searching for a new home. Crew's landlord has agreed to buy out the remaining lease term.

Crew is seeking to relocate in Uptown, Andersonville, Edgewater or Rogers Park but has not yet found the right space to continue Crew’s legacy.

We want to thank Uptown for many memorable years and most of all we want to thank all our dedicated team members and amazing customers who have made Crew Chicago’s best LGBTQ sports bar.

Over the coming days we hope to see all of you to bid farewell to Crew’s home of the last 13 years."

  1. That's unexpected. Landlord agreed to buy out lease? If that's true the landlord must have a higher paying tenant in mind or is selling out to a buyer with other plans.

I wonder what will end up there. Probably not a bank branch as it's not on a corner. Time will tell.

  2. Any word what might be going in that space?

  3. The space formerly occupied by Cantina 1910 at Clark and Winnemac is beautiful and sitting there empty.

  4. I wonder why they dont take over their 1910 Cantina space (same owner group)?

  5. I thought the Crew folks were behind Cantina 1910? And they lost a heap of money when it went under. No?

    I'm so confused.
