Still Time To Register For the Dim Sum & Then Some 5K (June 3)

There are some days where the calendar is full of things to do, and Saturday, June 3rd, is one of them. From early morning, when the Dim Sum and Then Some: The Uptown 5K takes place, to late in the evening, there will be plenty to choose from.

We're going to start posting June 3rd events throughout the weekend so you can decide what decide how to plan your day.

The day kicks off with the Dim Sum and Then Some: The Uptown 5K, sponsored by the Chinese Mutual Aid Association. The race kicks off from Buttercup Park at 8am, with race day packet pick-up between 6:15am and 7:45am. Runners will be entertained along the route by CMAA's Lion Dancers, among others. And when it's all over, each runner with be given a box of dim sum, prepared by Furama Restaurant.

The route is mostly through the park and will end up at Sheridan and Argyle. There will be some parking restrictions:
  • Margate Terrace (from Buttercup Park to Marine Drive). No parking from 6am until 9am (or until the last runner crosses onto Marine Drive)
  • Argyle St. (from Sheridan to Marine Drive). No parking from 6am until 10am (or until the last finisher arrives and the street is cleaned up).
