Master Lessee Sought For Gerber Building

It's easy to see the end of the Wilson L project is is sight now. A big step is happening right now.

The CTA just released a Request For Proposals seeking a developer or retailer to take over the master lease at the rehabbed Gerber Building at Wilson and Broadway. They are looking for a long-term partner who will take responsibility for the 13,000+ sq. ft. of newly restored retail space in the station building. According to the CTA's press release, the entire project will be completed by the end of 2017 and the Gerber Building will be available for occupancy in January 2018.

Thank you to all the community members, community organizations, and especially Uptown United for their hard work on making this a reality. We hope for great retail in a great rehabbed space.

We would LOVE to see an established Uptown neighbor like REAL KITCHEN go here, wouldn't you? (Hint, hint, hint.)
