Preston Bradley Center Gets A Little Help From Its Friends

Thank you to Uptown resident Melissa A. Gorgei and Axiom Global volunteers for helping to make one of our community's historic spaces look so much better!
"On Saturday, September 10, Lawyers, Staff, Family & Friends from Axiom Global volunteered their time at the Preston Bradley Center (PBC), a federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit, located at 941 W. Lawrence Street in the Uptown Neighborhood of Chicago.

The volunteers were responsible for, and completed, the following tasks at the center:
  • painting,
  • landscaping,
  • safety inspection and inventory of operational exits,
  • removal of debris, and
  • hand-polishing more than 1300 individual wooden-1924 era seats in the auditorium.
The Preston Bradley Center houses a community center, shelter, soup kitchen, & PBC’s signature programs 2 Li'l Fishes free lunch program, which serves over 2,000 meals a month, and the Uptown Arts Center, home to a dozen artists sharing studio space and art exhibitions."
